Claire with her combined training in Physiotherapy and Pilates gives a deep understanding of how the body moves, inside and out. 
Marge with her maturity in age and having lived life provides an insight into successful ageing.

Marge’s love of Pilates began in 2002, while living in Bangkok where she attended her first Pilates class out of curiosity. She signed up for the Polestar Pilates mat instructor course and certified as a mat instructor in 2008 in Singapore. She then taught Pilates Mat for 3 years in Ballarat; Australia, before returning to Singapore in December 2011.

 

To better understand Anatomy, she completed the first module in Anatomy and Physiology with Nature Care College (Sydney), before certifying for the Polestar Pilates Studio Series in Melbourne in 2011.

 

Marge has experience teaching Pilates one-to-one, as well as group mat and equipment classes to young and mature adults, preschoolers and pre/ante natal clients.

 

Besides teaching and practising Pilates, Marge enjoys keeping fit by jogging, rollerblading, hula hooping, and rock climbing.

Claire first started Pilates in 2005 as an adjunct to ballet.

She formally started her Pilates training in 2009, alongside her undergraduate studies. In 2012 she completed her examination in London, UK and attained her Polestar Pilates (Rehab) certification.

 

During her undergraduate studies, she had to opportunity to job shadow and mentor with professionals in Scottish Ballet as well as Polestar mentors in London and Edinburgh. This exposure propelled her to use her experiences to better the field of dance science in Singapore. Her notable achievements include the IADMS Student Research Award (2014) presented in Basel, Switzerland and the Duke-NUS Scientific Congress (2014) for Best Poster, Evidence-Based Medicine. In October 2016, she presented her poster on Pilates at the 9th Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back & Pelvic Girdle Pain held in Singapore.

 

In recent years, she has been certified to perform manual lymph drainage and combined decongestive therapy on patients with swelling pre/post operation, as well as patients with lymphedema.

 

Claire enjoys teaching just as much and believes strongly in patient education to value-add knowledge about movement to her clients.
